A now all too common issue with petrol fuel injection cars is the build up of carbon on the inlet valves.
Modern Direct injection fuel systems are designed to inject fuel directly into the cylinder giving greater efficiency, better emissions more power and better mpg. A down side with this being the fuel is no longer coming into contact with the inlet valves like older fuel injection systems causing carbon to build up.
Symptoms include power loss, misfires , poor idle and poor fuel economy , we have seen many cars suffering from carbon build up with mileage as little as 30-40k often going unnoticed due to its gradual decline.
By far the most effective procedure is to remove the inlet manifold and using specialist equipment the carbon is blasted with wall nut media or polymer beads giving a like new finish, most customers are shocked at the differance in performance and responsiveness and reporting back a “new car feeling” not to mention better fuel econemy.
